Sunways Hosts Hybrid Inverter Training in Kochi and Kozhikode
Sunways held two evening hybrid inverter training sessions in India, taking place in Kochi on 6 October and Kozhikode on 7 October 2026. Co-hosted with Impulse Green Energy Private Limited and Axis Power, the events brought together local installers, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) professionals, and solar enthusiasts.
The sessions introduced Sunways’ brand background and Smart Energy Management vision before focusing on two three-phase hybrid inverter platforms: the STH-5–20KTL-LT low-voltage series and the STH-40–80KTL-HT high-voltage series. The programme combined a company introduction with product-focused technical exchange, giving participants an opportunity to engage directly with Sunways and its local partners.
Across the two cities, the training connected a broad introduction to the company with a closer look at products relevant to Indian solar-plus-storage projects. The two platforms brought residential, small commercial and higher-power commercial and industrial applications into the same programme.
Partner-Led Training Across Two Cities
The first session took place in Kochi on 6 October, followed by the Kozhikode session on 7 October. Held on consecutive evenings, the events enabled Sunways and its co-hosting partners to meet local solar professionals in both cities and introduce the featured hybrid inverter series.
Impulse Green Energy and Axis Power played a central role as co-hosts. Their collaboration with Sunways provided the setting for the training and the conversations with attendees, bringing the manufacturer and local solar community together around the product presentations.
The events were supported by Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Director of Impulse, and Safeer Kamaludeen, Managing Partner at Axis Power. Sunways representatives included Wenbing (Devin) Xu, Regional Sales Director, and HARDIKK SHAH, Product Solution Head – APAC.
The presence of partner representatives alongside Sunways’ regional sales and product solution personnel gave participants an opportunity to connect with the people supporting the product dialogue. Sunways thanks both co-hosting partners for their collaboration and all attendees for their participation in the two evenings.
Introducing Sunways and Its Smart Energy Management Vision
The brand introduction covered Sunways’ German roots, dating back to 1993, and more than 30 years in the solar inverter sector. This background accompanied the presentation of the company’s Smart Energy Management vision, setting the context for the hybrid inverter discussions.
For the installers, EPC professionals and solar enthusiasts attending the events, the introduction connected the Sunways brand with the products presented later in the programme. The sessions moved from the company’s background and vision to the low-voltage and high-voltage platforms highlighted for the Indian audience.
Sunways’ product portfolio includes grid-tied inverters, hybrid inverters, energy storage batteries and energy management systems. Its company background describes a focus on inverter research, development, production and sales. This wider portfolio provides context for the two hybrid platforms introduced during the sessions.
Two Three-Phase Platforms for Different Storage Applications
The product presentations focused on the STH-5–20KTL-LT and STH-40–80KTL-HT series. Both are three-phase hybrid inverter platforms, with different power ranges and low-voltage or high-voltage battery architectures.
Presenting the two series together gave attendees an overview of products spanning residential and small commercial applications through to higher-power commercial and industrial (C&I) solar-plus-storage requirements. The event’s product focus provided a starting point for further discussions based on an individual project’s application and requirements.
STH-5–20KTL-LT: Three-Phase Low-Voltage Hybrid Inverters
The STH-5–20KTL-LT series covers 5 to 20kW and uses a low-voltage battery architecture. The platform provides product options for three-phase residential and small commercial solar-plus-storage applications.
Its introduction brought the low-voltage part of the Sunways portfolio into the training programme. For participants working with residential and smaller commercial projects, the series offered a specific product family to explore in subsequent conversations with Sunways and its partners.
For product background, the official datasheet specifies four MPPTs and dual battery inputs on the 12, 15 and 20kW models, alongside a UPS switching time below 10ms and IP66 protection for the series. MPPT and battery input configurations vary across the range: the 5 and 6kW models have two MPPTs, the 8 and 10kW models have three, and models from 5 to 10kW have one battery input. These specifications provide additional context for readers reviewing the featured platform.
STH-40–80KTL-HT: Three-Phase High-Voltage Hybrid Inverters
The STH-40–80KTL-HT series covers 40 to 80kW and uses a high-voltage battery architecture. The series was introduced in the context of higher-power C&I solar-plus-storage applications, extending the product discussion beyond the smaller-power platform.
Together, the two series provided distinct reference points for the local audience. Their different power ranges and battery architectures helped organise the product introduction around the applications each platform addresses.
For further application background, partners can explore Sunways C&I energy storage solutions. Detailed model information is available in the STH-40–80KTL-HT English datasheet, while the three-phase hybrid inverter guide provides broader system selection context.
Continuing the Conversation at REI Expo 2026
Following the Kochi and Kozhikode sessions, Sunways plans to exhibit both inverter series at Renewable Energy India Expo 2026. The exhibition is scheduled for 22–24 October 2026 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, according to the organiser’s official event information.
The planned exhibition provides a further setting for Indian installers, EPCs and distribution partners to explore the products introduced during the two training evenings. It also gives the local product dialogue a next point of contact, with the same low-voltage and high-voltage platforms forming part of Sunways’ planned display.
Sunways welcomes continued discussions with partners interested in the featured series and their potential use in Indian solar-plus-storage projects. Attendees and other industry professionals can contact the team with their intended application, preferred product series and project requirements to continue the conversation.
